CFX_CharConv converts a source string from one character set encoding to another.

This Cold Fusion tag is designed to aid the development of multi-lingual applications where converting data between different character sets is essential.

Simply specify the source and target character sets that you want to use on your source data and CFX_CharConv will do the rest, converting the information quickly and conveniently to your desired character set.

CFX_CharConv now supports over 130 codepage conversions as it tightly integrates with the Windows OS using standard API's to convert between character sets.

This tag is especially useful for those programmers using ColdFusion 5 and below when internationalising their applications and requiring a way to convert existing or new data from one codepage to another.
